Master Edits in a Professional Film Audio

Intro:  1. Throughout my intros and cuts I decided to not add any sound because I couldn't find any sound that would be good to tie together all the shots. Symbolism:  2. Post Synchronization Dubbing: For these scenes I chose to use random noises because I couldn't think of any sound to put over the clips. Simultaneity: 3. Post Synchronization Dubbing: For the first scene where I show me missing the trash can I used a booing noise because I wanted it to seem like people were booing me because I missed. Then in the next shot I include people cheering because I picked up the litter instead of leaving it there. Contrast:  4.  Post Synchronization Dubbing: For the first scene I chose to include thunder over me yelling trying to look tough because that way it would seem like I was powerful and strong. For the second scene I included a giggle because I wanted to show the contrast of me looking cute as opposed to strong. Parallelism: 5.  Post Synchronization Dubbing: F...

Simultaneity: This scene is from the movie arrival, we see simultaneity in this scene when we see all the news reports about the ship and the ship. The news reports and the videos of the ship being shown at once while talking about the same thing shows the audience simutaneity. Leit Motif: This is the scene from the first Harry Potter movie when he is seeing Hogwarts for the first time. In this scene we see as Harry and his friend Ron get off the train and use boats to get to the shore of the school. This is Leit motif because in the background you can hear the theme song of the movie. Parallelism: This is a scene from the first Captain America movie. In this scene Steve Rogers (Captain America) is fighting the villain redskull and during the fight we see how redskull isn't really who he seems but this is after we see Steve's reaction to it.

Symbolism: For symbolism I chose to use a watermelon as my main item, so in order to do this I got a real watermelon during lunch and then looked one up online. This way I could show the change from fake to real. Simultaneity: For this shot I chose to show simultaneity by showing something that was thrown off screen and how it missed the trash can, and then me picking it up. This way I could show the same action being done in the same area at different times.   Contrast: For contrast I filmed myself with my football jersey on trying to look tough and strong, then to show a contrast between the two shots I tried to do something that would be viewed as soft. Parallelism: For parallelism I showed how the bathrooms when you walk in would sometimes be absolutely full and then sometimes you walk in and their is no one in there. Leit Motif: Leit motif was difficult so I just chose to use the Harry Potter theme song as a way to show Leit motif in film.

Tom Clancy's Without Remorse Movie Review

Image
Review of a few Camera Angles in the Movie Tom Clancy's Without Remorse (2021) From Producers Michael B. Jorda, Akiva Goldsman, Andre Nemec,  Josh Appelbaum, and David Ellison I chose the movie Tom Clancy's Without Remorse because when I first heard about it I really wanted to see it but I didn't have the time. The movie was extremely action packed and had a great cast that really helped the movie. This is an over the shoulder shot of Karen Greer and Robert Ritter talking about the mission they are about to proceed into. In this part of the movie we learn that Greer and her team are weary and don't trust Ritter because of how he acts. They believe that Ritter is corrupt and is trying to sabotage the mission. This shot is a two-shot and shows Michael B. Jordan's character John Kelly and Karen Greer. In this shot we see as Karen has to break the news to John that the CIA will not be looking into the murders of Johns wife and unborn child. Before this scene there is a...

Storyboards Comments

Loren's Storyboard Shots The first shot I watched on Loren's storyboard was the high angle shot. When I saw this shot I thought it was funny how Emma was shot spinning around from so high up. I did like how we were able to tell that it was a high angle shot because of how high up the camera was. The second shot I watched was actually the dolly shot, this shot was well filmed because we see how Emma is running away from the camera. However, instead of the camera being placed in one spot it is running along with Emma. Even without the description of the shot, as an audience we would be able to tell that this shot was a dolly shot. The last shot that I watched was the close-up shot. This shot was filmed pretty well because in a close-up the audience is only supposed to see the main character from the waist up. I also, didn't really feel anything while watching this shot.  Emma's Storyboard Shots The first shot I watched on Emma's storyboard was her over the shoulder ...

Getting Started With Camera Angles

Close shot: This shot was complicated because we didn't want it to be confused with a cameo shot, so we tried to get Chris in between the two colors. Full Shot: This shot was easy because she was just standing there and I recorded a video of her just standing. Cameo shot: For this one we just used the first solid colored wall we could find and used it.  Over the shoulder: In order to get this shot I had to wait for Chris to film her shots that way I could get an over the shoulder shot. Head on shot: For this shot it was pretty easy to just have Chris walk towards the camera as if she is walking through it. Tilt shot: This shot was another very easy one to film because it requires me to stand still and tilt the phone up. Close up: This was another easy shot to film because I just grabbed the first thing I could find. Pan Shot: For this shot I just took a video as I stayed in one place and moved the phone.
